my commitment to the Fine Arts

Before this course I was committed to many ways of knowing being valued and supported in my classroom. During the course I learned how the visual arts, creative dance and drama, and music can be supported as unique ways of knowing. --> I want the students in my classroom to experience diverse ways of making meaning. I look forward to experimenting with the integration of the fine arts.

I also learned to take risks and was rewarded by learning the difference between process and product. I am committed to creating a safe classroom where the children feel valued and trusted --> I want my students to feel safe taking risks. This is essential for taking some risky steps and enabling real growth and deeper meaning making.

All in all, I have learned a LOT. Thanks to my cohort for making our classroom a safe and humorous learning environment!! This is my final posting. So good luck to you all. It's a small world so I look forward to running into you again after our B.Ed is over. Take care classmates. Take care Willow.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful commitment. I look forward to hearing about the specific events and student responses that tell you that you are achieving those commitments. I have now reviewed your blog and commented on most posts. I have determined your grade and made a summary comment on your rubric. I will email all grades and individual rubrics to students within the next few days.
